Why did we make the LeanBoard?
We love longboarding. Being enthusiastic longboarders, we wanted to create a longboard made especially for carving and cruising. The truck's design has not changed since it was invented. We use the same trucks designs for our skateboards and longboards. Only the size and bushings are different. Due to restrictions, we could not really add bigger wheels. The bigger wheels made the board go too high off the ground and invited wheel bite, and we didn’t even like the way big wheels look on a regular/conventional longboard. So being passionate longboarders as well as engineers, we thought we should make our own longboard trucks, which would allow us to carve and cruise around better and these are the results.
Why is the LeanBoard so unique?
We made the LeanBoard for: Long distance pushes The wheels are 108 millimeters and made out of urethane. These big wheels allow it to easily go over any terrain, giving it a smooth ride without compromising the ground clearance. It will get you around town little faster. Better handling and stability It has a low center of gravity. This longboard is lower to the ground which makes it perfect for cruising and carving purposes and is also better for handling. The increased stability and gives you more confidence to make those quick sharp turns. These trucks are spring-loaded so you get a constant force. It’s very consistent throughout your ride, which makes it very responsive.
How do the LeanBoard trucks work?
The system of parallelogram-linkage trucks moves jointly at specific angles, allowing the wheels to lean into the turns so you can make really quick carves.
Why are the LeanBoard trucks spring-loaded?
These trucks are spring-loaded so you get a constant force. It’s very consistent the whole time you're riding. That makes it very responsive.
Can I adjust, loosen, or tighten LeanBoard trucks?
YES, the springs are adjustable so you can loosen them to make quick turns or tighten them to go at a higher speed.
Can I attach LeanBoard trucks to any board or decks?
The LeanBoard trucks have the same screw hole location attachment as the regular standard trucks so it is easy to attach it to any other board.
Can I use LeanBoard wheels on conventional trucks?
The wheels have the exact same 8-millimeter bearings as the regular wheel bearings so you can use these wheels on your trucks if you like.
